Registration

(depends on selected options)

Base fee:
  • Guest speaker and/or host registration with lunch. Code required to register.
  • The event is $3 per person. Lunch is optional at an additional $8 per person.

    You can pay online when you RSVP, or choose "invoice me" to pay at the door on the day of the event.

    Either way, registering for the event ahead of time helps us plan for adequate seating and meals for lunch, so we very much appreciate it!

COVID-19

At this time (25 Aug 2020), the number of individuals that can gather in a shared space must not exceed the limit established by the Governor’s Executive Order, currently set at 50 people indoors. For that reason, pre-registration will be necessary. If you plan to attend, register online today using the button on the left.

For the safety of all, masks and social distancing will be required.

8:30 am—9:15

Registration $3 per person and can be paid in advance when registering online OR can be paid at the door when you arrive for the meeting. Proceeds benefit West Lubec Methodist Church and MOCA. Morning refreshments provided by West Lubec Methodist Church.

8:30—noon

Exhibits, Displays, Cemetery Projects

If you have a project to share with others, please bring a display board, photos, or other related materials. Tables will be available to set up displays. Displays promoting/endorsing services or goods for sale require advance approval from MOCA.

9:15 — 9:30

9:30—10:15

Lubec’s Stones with Stories Loring Munson

  • Dr John Faxon, a child during the Revolutionary War and a country doctor whose life was changed by a spirited horse. One of the many interesting stories you find when you look beyond the inscription.
  • Stephen Thacher, Customs Collector, was appointed by President Monroe. Notably, he was also a descendent of Thomas Thacher, the first minister of Old South Church in Boston.

MOCA Annual Business Meeting All are welcome to attend, or you may view the displays at this time.

11:30—noon

Stone Transformations Joy Harvey - How a workshop introduces participants to new skills and results in stone transformations.

Noon— 1:00

Lunch Assorted hot and cold dishes, beverages, homemade desserts provided by the West Lubec Methodist Church $8 per person.

LUNCH RESERVATIONS REQUIRED by September 19th. Lunch reservations and payments may be made online when you register using the button on the left.

Guided tour of Bayview Cemetery

The Lubec Historical Society will be open. If you visit, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
