Project Information

Project Name
Nathaniel & Elizabeth Farnham Family Cemetery
Project Location
West Penobscot
Project Description
This small, single family cemetery off Route 166 in West Penobscot, ME was overgrown with saplings and blackberry bushes. All five stones were down or leaning against the iron/granite post fence that surrounds the cemetery. Faith and Robert have cleared the site, re-set the gravestone of Osborne Farnham, his sister Louisa and their parents Nathaniel and Elizabeth, who are Robert's third great grandparents. The fifth and final gravestone that needs repair and resetting is Capt. Bradbury Farnham who died when his ship, the brig Emeline, was destroyed in a storm off the coast of New Jersey on January 18, 1857.
